Como

Como is situated south of the Perth CBD, and is bound to the west by the Swan and Canning rivers. It is a picturesque area filled with parklands, reserves, and a focus on water activities. Como is the perfect link between the busy central suburbs and the quieter southern suburbs, embracing the best of both worlds. It’s a suburb that centres around lifestyle and nature.

There are popular bars, cafes and restaurants in Como and nearby South Perth, as well as local shops and boutiques. The Como Hotel is a local favourite, with great food and regular quiz nights. Como boasts the international standard 27-hole Collier Park Golf Course, and many of its residents enjoy river views from their homes. There are four local schools in the area, with private girls’ school Penrhos College included. Curtin University borders the suburb, and public transport nearby provides easy access to universities and TAFEs further afield.

Como’s housing is a mixture of old renovated homes and modern designs, with a big focus on family friendly housing. Prices in the area aren’t as high as more central suburbs, and the population is a great mix of growing families, young couples, and older retirees.
